If you wish to do any further decorative work that involves changing the surface of the pitcher, such as impressions, use of slips, or incising, these need to be done while the pot is still damp enough. Once the pitcher is bone dry, it is ready to be bisqued.
After the pitcher has been bisqued, you can decorate it further using underglazes and glazes. Once the glazes have dried completely, fire the pitcher to maturity.
