Rubber Stamping Your Clay

Clay can be impressed by many objects, including rubber stamps.

Rubber stamps, which are used to apply ink on paper and cloth, can be used for impression stamping in clay.

Beth E Peterson

Rubber stamps aren't just for paper and fabric anymore! They also make great tools to impress clay. Try deeply grooved rubber stamps that are used for velvet and other fabrics for even stronger effects. Also experiment with glazes that break (change colors) over the ridges left by those deeper stamps.
