This last basket also has left marks behind from its woven structure. Note the differences between these patterns and that left by the wicker basket.They are softer and much more fluid.
Perhaps you don't like all the marks left by this basket, however. As with any impression made in damp clay, you can easily remove marks by gently rubbing or rolling them back out. Remember, though, that marks made in leather-hard clay are much less likely to be able to be removed.
