Guide Review - Review of "Ceramics Monthly" Magazine
"Ceramics Monthly" is published by a subsidiary of the American Ceramic Society. As such, there is a strong underpinning of ceramic technique that invisibly (until looked for) supports this periodical's focus on ceramic aesthetics.
Articles tend to be well written and focus on how each person involved with clay expresses themselves through that medium, as well as the experience of being a potter or ceramic artist. The magazine is well-illustrated with full-color photographs, mainly of finished work.
"Ceramics Monthly" is not about learning techniques, but rather is about seeing techniques come into full fruition as completed works.
