Napkin rings are one of the traditional touches added to the table when elevating dinner into fine dining. Although they are often seen made of metal and sometimes plastic, pottery napkin rings are easy to make and can be used to set up a strong motif for other pieces of tableware you create.
Before you begin, think about the overall look you will want to give your napkin rings (and possibly other tableware). Do you want very simple lines? What, if any, decorative motif you would like to use? What will be your table's color scheme?
