BP: You have found that there are five main styles, with variations. Would you list these styles and give a bit of information about them?
GC: As to marker styles, this would be my own names or general monument company names.
1) The Flat Headstone: although not [really] flat, it slants. This measures roughly 2' x 1' x 10" to 1'. It is by far the most common and can be seen an association with any of the other markers.
2) The Slanted Upright: measures about 3'x 2'x 3'. This has laurel branches decorating the sides.
