Those folk over at the American Ceramic Society cover a lot of ground, including the industrial applications of ceramics. I'm certainly glad they haven't forgotten those of us who love to personally play in the clay, too!
I just finished up a review of one of their books, Glazes and Glazing: Finishing Techniques. If you would like to expand your glazing repertoire, this will be a good place to begin.
It may seem a bit overwhelming.... This book covers a lot of ground. But there is something for everyone here --- tips for those new to glazing as well as new ideas for old hands at using glazes.
